which it is IF you're familiar with HDMI ports and how they're used. They don't specifically say the HDMI port you plug it into must be an HDMI 'input' rather than a HDMI 'output' as I would imagine they consider that to be self explanatory. In addition it says "The camera can be connected to HDMI devices", and by HDMI devices it's referring to devices that can take HDMI as input not those that have HDMI outputs. It shows a rather old fashioned TV / Display.

It doesn't mention computers, and doesn't show a diagram containing a computer. On page 192 of the Nikon D7000 manual is a diagram and procedure for directly viewing images on a computer.
